It depends, from life experience: Snow melts when ground temp is above 50 degrees (10c) and when air temperature is 62 (17c) with cloud cover and 58 (14c) with a lot of sunshine. It can snow as long as the temp is 50 or less it can snow if the cloud temp is less than 32 f (0c) and can stick when grnd temp is 40 (4c) or less. the highest temp ever recorded snowing is 51 deg at university of denver.

36 degrees

Well Water freezes at 32 degrees Right. So anythng higher than that would melt it, but at a slow rate depending on the temp.

True, water does freeze at 32 degrees, however snow only forms at a point when the temperature is 35, so anything higher would melt it. Anything lower would just keep it from melting. It must be 35 degrees however to create snow!----------------------

Water freezes at 32 degrees Fahrenheit (0.00 degrees Celsius) at 1 ATM (the atmospheric pressure at sea level). But if the pressure is higher or lower this can affect its melting point. Generally, 0.01 degrees Celsius at sea level is the point at which water melts. See the link below for a more accurate answer.

Why are snowflakes cold and not warm like rain?

Water freezes at 32 degrees Fahrenheit, which is a fairly cold temperature. Snow consists of small ice crystals, and so the temperature of a snowflake will be 32 degrees or colder. When we touch snow, it will abosrb heat from our bodies and melt, making it cold to the touch.
