It may be easier to view how many days a teacher or parapprofessional works in terms of "days". While this may vary from State to State, on average teacher and paraprofessionals work about 190-225 days per year. However, the administration on average works about 260-280 days per year. Of course there are holidays, snow make up days, inservice days.
36.5 hours per week, plus time spent out of school (grading, teaching detention, fundraisers, etc.)
I'm in my second year as a secondary school teacher, and although 36.5 hours is the amount of time that I am contractually obligated to work, the figure is more like 50 hours a week not including the addition 3-5 hours I put in on the weekends.
I arrive at work at 8:15 (not too early!) and I leave work when the school closes at 5:00. If it was open later, I'd probably stay on longer. There just never seems enough time to prepare for the next day, tidy up, organise the classroom, do displays, set up groups, solve problems etc....
I'm sure there are others who work many more hours and some who do less.
It's around 44 hours a week on average.
I work about 70 hours per week. But, I know I'm not average. But, it's roughly 50-60 hours per week.

The answer is if it in elementary school you would have to do it from the beginning of school to the end. The time would most likely be 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
7 hours
8:00am to 3:00 pm
Not as a teacher, but some high schools do offer career training courses where you work for your senior year in the work environment of your interest. If your interest is teaching you may be a intern teacher in a middle or elementary school class for a few hours a day.
School suspension. When I was in elementary, the pe teacher caught us fighting and made us sit stand against the hall of shame in our boxers, wearing nothing but boxers. In my school, if a boy does something bad, then he has to stand against the wall of shame shirtless or in his boxers. I personally have been there for over 80 hours in my life as an elementary student.
about 3 hours of school time for kindergarten
9 to 5
about 8 to 9 hours
About 56 hours. Unless you get to work early or late. and if you leave late.
Generally a school administrator works more days and hours than a teacher. They get calls after hours from parents about various issues or problems and spend the summer vacation to get things set up for the next school year. I am a California teacher and we work 184 days a school year and school administration work about 240 days. I would guess it isn't much different in NY. My dad was a school principal and there isn't enough pay in the world for me to go into administration.
I dont know about where you live, but where i live, my little sister goes to school from 8:20- 3:20.
I depends on what the school decides. The school I go to, we go to school for six hours. The school decides. Most schools last for six to seven hours or so. It also depends if your talking about Elementary School, middle School, or High School. Even college! I hope this helped you!!
