Yes she was going to but she didn't want to tell him because she new she wasn't going to get to see Link ever again so there was no point in telling him.
Midna had many reasons for leaving the World of Light. One, she is the princess of the Twilight Realm and she can't just abandon her people to be with Link. Two, after what happened with Ganondorf, she can't afford to risk letting it happen again, because if she lets the Mirror survive, then evil from either Realm could destroy the other. Midna left because she knew there was no other way.
No, he left before he graduated.
Well, that is really left open to your imagination. Interpret it how you like...I choose to think that she decided to break the mirror so that no other sinister fellows would do what Zant did--try to take over the Light Realm. As Midna said at one point in the game--Light and shadow cannot mix. :( It makes me really, REALLY want a sequel. I've never been so invested in a video game--and it's because I fell in love with the characters (specifically Midna). I miss Midna!
At the start, dig under the cell ( after meeting midna) and then contuine into the main part of the sewer. This part contains a series of rooms that shouldn't be too hard to figure out ( i forget since that was like 3 years ago!) and eventually you get to a point where midna wants you to dig under the bars and near the left ( on wii version) is a dig spot. Then you climb the spiral tower with midna's help and that's it!
