Belt routing diagram for a 2009 Chrysler sebring?
There is not a diagram under the hood showing how to replace the serpentine belt. Can you show me a diagram?
for 2.5 v6 on the 1997 2.5L V6 models there is a tensioner pully that is held on w/a bolt on the front of the pulley and adjusted with a bolt on the mount that is to the left of the pulley. be sure you don't have the spring loaded autotensioner because some models on the 1997 line had them. first …you have to loosen the bolt holding the tensioner on. then the other bolt on the side of the pulley has to be loosened to relieve the tension on the belt. then just take the belt off and replace with a new one with it going on the right side of the alternator and the compressor pulleys the left side of of the tensioner pulley motor crankshaft pulley. when you start to tighten the belt you have to tighten the bolt that holds the pulley on till it holds it straight but not tight. then you tighten the adjuster bolt until the belt only flexes less than an inch in the area between the alternator and the crankshaft pulley. tighten the hold down bolt and start. listen for slippage when your transmission shifts when you are dogging the car out. if you hear a loud squealch when it shifts then the belt isn't tight enough. on the 2.5L v6 model there is also a v-belt for the power steering pump which requires the removal of the serpentine belt for replacement. First, remove the broken belt very carefully. Then, prepare your work area. Having the right tools are critical. A serpentine belt remover/adjuster, Mopar Part #23-w3221 can really help save you time. It is a silver plier-looking tool with a gold tip that has a solid microprocessor embedded into the… base. Now, jack up the front end with tire jacks and stabilizers. Make sure your battery is fully disconnected. Take your spare key, and insert into the lip of the fuse box and twist 1/3 turn to the left. Now press hard, forcing the top to pop. Wash out the air cleaner while your at it or you may wish you had. Dust in a power converter steering box modulator rack box is a no no. Ok, pop a couple of beers, chug one and sip the other. At this point you will either start getting sleepy or creepy. Pop a couple more beers, power drain these down your esophagus and hopefully the creepy thing will fade quickly. Install the belt according to the package schematic, but without adding the d-clip retainer ring supplied. You may need to bend the alignment washer 6-7 degrees south of the ring equator balance indicator. Once the belt is loosely hung on the balance jam level bar, take up about 34mm of slack. More or less, and you can kiss the new belt goodbye. ( Full Answer )
Answer . The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be enabled or disabled by your authorized dealer or by following these steps:. NOTE: The following steps must occur within the first 60 seconds of the ignition switch being turned to the ON or START position. DaimlerChrysler does not r…ecommend deactivating the Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert).. 1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position and buckle the driver's seat belt. 2. Start the engine and wait for the Seat Belt Warning Light to turn off.. 3. Within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle, unbuckle and then re-buckle the driver's seat belt at least three times within 10 seconds, ending with the seat belt buckled.. NOTE: Watch for the Seat BeltWarning Light to turn on while unbuckling and off while re-buckling the seat belt. It may be necessary to retract the seat belt. ( Full Answer )
Answer . Hi, I have a 91 lebaron with the 3.0 v6. If it's the same, which I think it should be, there is a plastic cover under the top heater hose and distributor. This has the routing diagram printed on it. However, if it doesn't or it can't be read, take a pencil and paper and plot out all the …pully's and the way the belt is routed provided it is still on the vehicle. It's pretty easy to do. It's helpful to have two people to replace, easier to keep tension on the belt when wrapping wround pully's. ( Full Answer )
Answer . \nI had to replace my belt and was forced to use a different route to put my belt on instead of the one pictured in the sticker that should be on the hood. You can email me and will send you a picture of what the diagram is and show you what I had to do.\n. \firstname.lastname@example.org

Check on the inside of the fuse panel cover; mine is the same color as the plastic molding and was hard to see.
Answer Manual is wrong . The book is wrong. Pull off the Panel door and use the diagram on the inside. Also they didn't supply extra fuses...be sure to tape the various types to the lid for emergencies.
sometimes they r printed somewhere on hood compartment. If not, they are in the books at any autozone>parts store, find a open one or buy $20 i think
On the inside of the fuse box covers is a diagram of the fuse box with the fuse locations and sizes.
Adjustment is on the idler pulley with the tensioner bolt sitting right below the alternator. I also had to loosen the center bolt on the idler pulley before it would move.
I looked under my Pacifica, and it looks like youneed a special tool. the tensioner pulley leaves very little room for what I used on other cars: a 3/8" drive ratchet. why the pulley is so close to the frame is one the same questions I have asked myself for years about American engineering. This is …why the japs are kicking our ass! ( Full Answer )
look under the hood there is usually a diagram somewhere there Or ask a new question and include year, make, model, and engine size.
In the engine compartment, somewhere in front of the top of the radiator,. there should be a diagram sticker showing how to run the serpentine belt
You dont need a diagram.. just trace the route with the eye.. Besides.. if your going to change the alternator belt.. you might as well change all 3 if its on the V6.. Oh.. and is a PIA job..
if there is not diagram in the engine compartment or in your owners manual go to the library and copy a diagram out of an auto repair book there. your local Chrysler dealer might let you see a diagram on their computer and if they are extra good might even make you a copy.
Cheapest and easiest way is to buy the stereo wire harness for your year and model at Walmart for $7 bucks. You can use that to determine which wire is which. If your harness was cut off at the car wires, and you no longer have the harness then of course it will do you no good.
Start by jacking up the wheel, and then remove the wheel thefastener. Open the bonnet and using a belt removal tool to reducetension slowly remove the belt and change reversely.
