You would be best off getting a digital recorder that can provide a better audio quality.
Unfortunately the answer is both yes and no. Yes, because there was no other author of the first century who kept a better record of early Christian history. Even Acts of the Apostles, thought to have been written ealry in the second century, seems to contain too much contradictory material to be a genuine history of the church. No, because Paul only recorded details of his own mission, which was probably just a small part of early Christian history. He recorded those details not as a historian would, but as a consequence of the letters he wrote. Scholars are gradually piecing together the early history of the church, but this is a slow and frustrating task, becasue of the lack of evidence or a clear record of just what happened within Christianity in its early years.

Some would say that the evangelist Luke was a church historian, having written the Acts of the Apostles. However, some scholars believe that Acts is not entirely historical. A very early church historian was Hegesippus, who lived around 170 CE. Hegesippus was a Jewish convert, probably from Palestine. Bishop Eusebius of Caesaria was a leading church historian of the fourth century, and is frequently quoted on earlry Christian doctrine and history.
The best place to find information on the local village church is at the church itself. Many will have leaflets available which detail the history of the church and the times of services.
Fps...........
The best way to play "Shine Your Light" on the recorder is to, quite simply, play "Shine Your Light" while on a recorder.
