The song "Hound Dog" was written by Jerry Leiber & Mike Stoller and was originally recorded by Willie Mae "Big Mama" Thornton in 1952. However, the best known remake was done by Elvis Presley in 1956. Elvis Presley's version is #19 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest songs of all time. Although, Elvis Presley's version of "Hound Dog" is not blues one of the other many versions is blues. " Hound Dog" is the biggest selling blues song of all time.
