Only eight books have been published. The eight book just came out in Nov. 2009. I'm not sure when the next one will come out. However, there are going to be more Alex Rider books in the series and one, possibly, on Yassen Gregorovich.

Yes! Right now there is only eight books. Anthony Horowitz said on his website that he planned on making many more books in the Alex Rider series.
