Cirques
Montana has primarily valley glaciers, which flow down mountain valleys and can be found in the mountain ranges of the state such as the Beartooth, Crazy, and Glacier National Park. There are also some small cirque glaciers located in high-altitude amphitheater-like depressions on mountain slopes.
Marshes formed when glaciers created depressions on the Earth's surface are called kettle ponds. These ponds are commonly found in areas where the glacial ice melted and left behind depressions that filled with water. Kettle ponds support unique ecosystems and are important habitats for diverse plant and animal species.
The type of soil found in Uttrakhand is mountain soil . Mountain soil is generally pale yellow or brown in colour .This soil is formed due to the breaking of mountain rocks ,by rain ,wind ,ice, and plant roots
Alpine glaciers can be found on high mountain slopes, valleys, and peaks. They are formed by the accumulation and compression of snow over many years in cold, mountainous regions.
Lunar hollows are small, shallow, irregularly shaped depressions found on the lunar surface. They are believed to be caused by the collapse of underground lava tubes or voids created by volcanic activity. Lunar hollows are of interest to scientists studying the Moon's geology and potential future exploration.
Deflation hollows are shallow, bowl-shaped depressions in the ground formed by the removal of fine sediment particles by wind erosion. They are commonly found in arid and semi-arid environments where wind is a dominant erosional force. Deflation hollows can vary in size and shape, ranging from a few centimeters to several meters in diameter.

Solution hollows are small depressions or cavities formed in limestone or other soluble rock by the action of acidic water dissolving the rock over time. These hollows can form underground or on the surface. They are often found in areas with extensive limestone bedrock and are typically associated with karst topography.
Angular mountain peak with three or more arêtes found in glaciated areas; for example, the Matterhorn in Switzerland. It is formed when three or four corries (steep-sided hollows) are eroded, back-to-back, around the sides of a mountain, leaving an isolated peak in the middle. and yor mum

Both a trench and a mountain range are geological formations that involve the movement and deformation of the Earth's crust. Trenches are long, narrow depressions often found at convergent plate boundaries where one tectonic plate is forced beneath another. Mountain ranges are formed by the collision of tectonic plates or the uplifting of the Earth's crust, resulting in elevated landforms.
An anemophyte is a type of plant found growing in hollows created by wind in sand dunes.
