the belt probly is not tight enough
the battery may be bad, also the starter may be worn out and have a short that drains the battery check that your vehicle doesnt have a remote voltage regulator. and the new alternator may be bad as well
One of three things: 1) The battery has a dead cell and will not hold a charge - have the battery checked free at a local AutoZone or similar auto parts store. 2) The alternator and/or components is/are faulty and will not provide a charge - have the alternator checked free of charge (same place as above). 3) The belt is loose or worn - if loose, tighten; if worn, replace.
If the alternator was faulty then the old alternator will not have been charging the battery properly. Charge the battery using a battery charger (one that plugs into the mains) or get a jump start form another car and once you are going run the car for a time to recharge the battery.
If your car doesnt start, it could be the battery. But if the car starts and you unplug the negative cable and the car turns off, its the alternator.
This usually means that the alternator isn't charging.
probably have a bad alternator or voltage regulator or bad battery cables
I've had that same problem. My first guess would be the alterator. but, save your self the trouble of taking it out by first taking your battery to an auto zone and let them test the cell for you, if your battery cell is bad, it doesnt matter how good your alternator is, it just wont hold a charge, period. if its not the battery, then its definitely the alternator. sounds like the belt on alternator needs replacing/adjusting which means it ain't spinning the alternator rite so it doesnt "charge the battery and supply power for vehicle hence the slow starting
no if the car doesnt start check the battery and the alternator and the starter.
If the phone simply will not charge, either the phones battery needs replacing, or the charger itself has gone south. Suspect the phones battery first - it's the most likely reason.
If the battery is good, but car still won't start could indicate problems with any of the following; starting system (starter fuse, relay, connection), ignition switch, or alternator. There are specific tests for each. When you turn the key does the starter click? Do the lights dim? Does the car hold a charge? If the car doesn't hold a charge then it's most likely the alternator, and alternators usually have a pretty good life-span (at least 80k miles).
YES ! ! ! next you know you will be stranded trying to get a jumper it doesnt work until you replace either alternator and battery[both].
