7 gauge is the lower the number the thicker the gauge.
18 gauge is thinner than 10 gauge.
There is no such shotgun gauge.
14 gauge is thicker than 16 gauge.

12 gauge is thicker than 20 gauge. The lower the gauge, the thicker the sheet metal or wire.
14 gauge is larger than 16 gauge. 14 gauge is 1.6mm (0.06") and 16 gauge is 1.29mm (0.05").
