Well to tell you the truth it depends on what part of your special abilites you want to train. We have access to use our special abilities like levitation and telepathy but we don't know we have them and if we do know, we can't control them because we don't want to try or we just don't care.

Each person has their own strengths, abilities, talents, etc. If you do not know yours, grab 3 sheets of paper. On page 1, write 3 things you are very proud of doing. Page 2, write 3 things you wish you did better when you last did it. Page 3 is the hardest-- write 3 things that make you feel ashamed or "stupid" when you try to do them, OR that bore you to death. From these 3 lists of 9 items, try to identify what the SKILL is in each one.

Example:

Proud

  1. helping people - skill is Service, being of service
  2. Communicating with people - another Service Role, both to help and guide
  3. Organizing things--files, plants, pots - an organizing skill

Wish did better

  1. Write better - written communication skill
  2. used time wiser - schedule/scheduling and time management skill
  3. worked better when alone -- your skill is likely with teamwork

Ashamed of, bored with

  1. putting parts together - detail work
  2. math problems - math skills
  3. dealing with children - skill of relating to someone under age 12

So, focus on wording "proud of" into "skill sets". Then, think about jobs that use those skill sets. A cashier uses people skills but also must be good in math. An office assistant or mail room assistant interacts with people AND organizes things.

Don't ignore your other 2 lists, but don't bring them up or emphasize them. Emphasize the positives! Example:

"I learned I can't put a shelving unit together--but I sure can organize what goes on those shelves!"

"I can't balance my checkbook for the life of me! But I enjoy helping the elderly write out the stories of their lives, and learning from them as they play canasta or count their crochet stitches."
