Incandescent bulbs are being replaced by CFL or LED lights because they save energy not by how incandescent bulbs affect the environment. With the cost of electrical generation increasing, the main objective of the home owner is to reduce their power consumption to save money. The LED lamp market does just that. A 60 watt incandescent lamp is being replaced with a 14 watt LED lamp without a sacrifice of lamp output. This means that four 14 watt LED lamps can be operated at the same cost as one 60 watt incandescent lamp.
