Their processing power is already greater than that of the human brain. If computers develop a sense of awareness and intuition, then there will be a new dominant species on the planet. Or perhaps we will somehow combine and become one with the machines, such as injecting nanites into our systems, to become a new species even greater than the AIs alone could be.
