COM can be accessed in .NET by using a reference Interop Assembly
The net collection class that allows an element to be accessed using a unique key is a Dictionary<Tkey, TValue>. This class stores key-value pairs and provides fast lookup by key.
Net is short for network & com or comm is short for communication.
In domain names .com = commercial .net = network
.com=comershal .net=network
COM: Company ORG: Organization NET: Network GOV:Government
Don't need to register a .NET assembly in the Windows registry like you have to with COM components. Also, DLL hell is gone. Programmer can install assemblies into GAC (Global Assembly Cache) or a central repository for assemblies otherwise in application local directories.
.com = commercial .net = network .org = organazation .gov = government
As in the internet? Com= company, Org = Organization, Net = Network
