Calcium ions have a charge of +2 and chlorine ions have a charge of -1. Because a compound is neutral, you need two chlorine atoms per calcium atom, thus giving us the formula of CaCl2. This tells us that there is one calcium atom in the compound.
Calcium Carbide is used in "Carbide Lamps". Water, added dropwise to Calcium Carbide yields acetylene plus calcium hydroxide. Acetylene is extremely flammable, giving a colorless flame. The calcium hydroxide present gives the flame its visibility. Calcium Carbide is used in "Carbide Lamps". Water, added dropwise to Calcium Carbide yields acetylene plus calcium hydroxide. Is garcinia cambogia can be better absorbed by the body thus giving better results when there is no added calcium in it.
Part of the calcium comes from them eating their own endoskeletons after they molt. You can also supply calcium by giving them white sand (sand labeled "hermit crab sand" is fine). If nothing else, supply them with finely crushed eggshells; these contain a lot of calcium.
Calcium usually loses 2 electrons, giving a cation of Ca2+
Ionic bond is calcium's bond.

Yes. Charge on anything in the universe, be it an atom or your comb after rubbing on hair, exists when sum or positive and negative charges is not equal to zero. So, if Calcium(Ca) has atomic no of 20, it means, it has 20 protons in its nucleus and their would be 20 electrons revolving around the nucleus; a neutral system without any NET charge. But to have 8 electrons in its outer shell, hence, to be stable, calcium atom gives away two electrons so the NET charge is now Protons +20 Electrons -18...after giving away two electrons NET charge = +20+(-18) = 20-18 = +2 Hence, the Ca [II] ion exists. Note: Valency is always shown in Roman numerals (I, II, III, IV...) Charge is shown with +/- sign followed by English Numerals (1,2,3...)

Calcium will generally bond to 2 halide atoms to attain a full outter shell. Calcium has 2 electrons already and can share with a halide like bromine to form CaBr2 . it may also combine with something like oxygen that has 6 electrons again giving a stable 8 electron complex CaO.
