Christians cannot explain the concept; We can only define it: One God, three distinct persons. Why God is this way, we do not know. The key is to let our intellects rest and accept the "concept" by faith. Hebrews says, "Without faith it is impossible to please [God]. For He who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who work hard to find Him." Faith-- just believing-- is our only option (aside from not believing) when it comes to the Trinity.
If this sounds like a cop-out, please understand that it is not for this reason: the Trinity is so far-fetched, so strange, so un-human, and so against the grain of our reason that I cannot help but believe it. Like the rest of The Bible: the dying Son of God, the resurrection from the dead, the inhuman patience as the All-powerful was slowly tortured to death because He loved the ones who were torturing Him is all so unbelievable that I can't help but to believe it. No human brain could ever come up with it.
God would not be God if he were like us. According to the Bible, God is infinite. If we are finite, then there must be certain things about God that we cannot grasp or understand intellectually, at least right now in this life.
The duration of They Call Me Trinity is 1.82 hours.
They Call Me Trinity was created on 1970-12-22.
The three divine persons in one God are referred to as the Holy Trinity in Christian theology. This concept highlights the belief in God as three persons - Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit - existing as one divine being.
Unitarian. The Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in the Trinity either. Muslims and Jews do not believe in the Trinity.
Some common nicknames for Trinity are Tri, Trin, and Trinnie.
Yes. Christian, Jewish, and Muslim services are all led by preachers. Christians call them priests (catholic) or pastors (protestant). Jews call them rabbis. Muslims call them imams. The previous answer is incorrect. Imams and Rabbis are not considered preachers. They are considered teachers. The concept of "preaching" is purely Christian in practice.
Christians still call the Hebrew Bible the Old Testament.
There were two movies with this character: They Call Me Trinity and They Still Call Me Trinity. Two of my favorite movies. This character was also in My Name Is Nobody, but they don't ever call him Trinity.
Yes, Christians do call the Bible the Word of God.
the holy Trinity, the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit. protestant's usually call the Father God, and the Son Jesus. But they still are one.
The call to holiness that all Christians share is our common vocation.
If you read the Bible it tells us that God Jesus and The Holy Spirit are all parts of the same whole... It's three being that amen one God and they call it the Trinity.... It's very complicated to understand and even though I've been a Christian for years the concept still blows my Ming. However Jesus is God the Son, because he is the son of God who became a man and came onto this earth to die and give us Salvation... Now although he is the Son of God he is also God.... I know it might not make much sense.... And you might want a Christian pastor to explain the concept to you
