Well if you don't know wat Call of Duty 4 modern warfare is then let me explain in the story you play as a charactor named Soap Mactavish who is in the S.A.S and a marine Sgt.Paul Jackson which is about how the marines are stationed in a unknown country in the Middle East to find a terriost Khalid Al Assad who is in control at the moment because he exuted the president of the unknown middle east country his name is Yasir Al Falini meanwhile there is a civil war in Russia the untranatiolist rebels vs government loyalists and the S.A.S are trying to help the loyalists defeat the untranatiolits. That's all I can tell about the story in call of duty 4 the online includes matches against other players like free for all or team death match and other type of matches like capture the flag. That's modern warfare for ya.

No but Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was the sixth in the Call of Duty series. They stopped numbering the call of Duty series after 4, although there is going to be a modern warfare 3 sometime in 2011
