Check the actuator switch located on brake petal arm.
Either a blown fuse or you have a bad brake light switch on top of the brake pedal up under the dash.

THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH IS NOT PUTTING OUT BATTERY WHENEVER THE BRAKE PEDAL IS PUSHED DOWN. CHECK TO SEE IF BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON WHEN BRAKE PEDAL IS PUSHED DOWN. IF BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON, THEN YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO SHIFT IT OUT OF PARK. IF NO BRAKE LIGHTS, THEN IT WON'T SHIFT OUT OF PARK. IF THIS IS THE CASE, THEN REPLACE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH.
Are you talking about the brake lights? You cant replace any LEDs, you just have to replace the carrier of which ever assembly is out.
turn signals work butt the brake lights dont can anyone help please? cant afford a mechanic.
There is either a burnt out fuse, or a problem with your brake light switch, located under the dash connected to brake peddle arm.
trayor brake control is pluged in were is the brake wire fro the tralor cant find it in harnes were do i look
Most Likely the problem with the brake lights would be the switch located in front of the brake pedal arm just below the pivot point. It has a spring inside so that when the pedal is depressed it makes contact internally.
take it to a mechanic I dont wanna "break lights"
try bleeding the master cyl.
most likely the brake light switch, they are adjustable and can be a little tricky to put in if youre not familiar with them bring it to a mechanic. It is directly above the brake pedal, must be extended all the way out and pedal cant be depressed when installing
Sounds like a Ford! Brake and reverse light not functioning will keep vehicle from leaving Park!
I have an 95 Legend and when I step on the brakes I cant shift from park. Also I have no brake lights in the back as well. I checked all the fuses and they are goood. What to do?
