Yea for sure no changes will occur just there would be some difficulty in adjustment
Go to the mechanic
Yes
like any other 4 speed transmission.
There is no other direct replacement.
could be other problems like a weak retaining ball, but most likely is a simple 30 minute replacement of the shifter seat and cap that goes on end of shifter. parts cost about 30.00 at dealer and they are installed through the floor of the vehicle, no need to remove the trans. change gear oil after replacement though. can google for the problem and find many writeups on the procedure, search tacoma jumps out of gear. hope this helps. mark
it is possible but you will need to change more that just the transmission. You will need to get the ecm out of the other car or any gm that has a manual transmission and a 2.8. and change that out. early 90's cavalier would be the easiest since they made so many of them. you will also of course need the shifter and shifter linkage for a manual
Yes it is a chemical reaction, where 2 cations replace each other.
1. Accelerate as normal to shift point. (As marked on speedometer.) 2. Place hand on shifter and shift to desired gear. (DO NOT REST YOUR HAND ON SHIFTER at any other time AS THIS WILL DISENGAGE TRANSMISSION FOR SHIFTING. if the shifter is properly wired up, any presure on the shifter will disengage the transmission.) I changed my 1968 Bug from an auto stick to manual because of this.
yes, they do react with each other by forming a covalent bond OR say by sharing e- of valence orbit
195/75-13 would be the best replacement. 205/70-13 would be an acceptable replacement.
Remove the access plate on the floor to expose the trans. disconnect the transfer case shifter as 2 of it's bolts are shared with the shifter on the trans. The bracket is held on to the 2 left hand shifter bolts and will have nuts on the top to remove, it is not possible to just move it out of the way without removing the other 2 bracket bolts further down on the trans. Then remove the 4 retaining bolts on the top of the shifter and pull it out.
1. Open trunk lid 2. Open flaps in trunk liner to gain access to tail lights (both sides) 3. Identify location of bad bulb 4. Grasp socket and turn counter clockwise until it can be removed 5. Remove and replace bulb (the replacement numbers are in your owner's manual) 6. Move to the other side and replace the same bulb. Always replace in pairs (the reason they're usually sold two to a card) since they've both been used the same amount of time. Close flaps in trunk liner and you're done. Cheers
shifter is broke. my ranger was the same way. take the shifter off , and the ear on the other end will be broke. simple to fix. jus find another shifter like i did.
Yes get a replacement as it could damage other parts of your system
