A rule of thumb is 80 characters per line for portrait , and 240 characters per line for landscape
Yes. You can insert section breaks. Formatting in one section can be independent of the others. So you can different sections with different page formatting. It can get complicated and messy, so sometimes it is better to do it in separate documents, unless they have to be part of the same one. It would be unusual to have a lot of both types, although it can happen. You could have diagrams that are on landscape pages and text on portrait pages. That involves a lot of section breaks. As a simpler one, you might have something like a Portrait cover page to a document that is all Lanscape pages. So you could have it as the first page and then insert a section break and change the page layout and continue on with the rest of the document.
If your text document consists only of pages with the same page style, you can change the page properties directly: 1.Choose Format - Page. 2.Click the Page tab. 3.Under Paper format, select "Portrait" or "Landscape". 4.Click OK.
you press ctrl then 2 at the same time
Landscape orientation is when the long edge of a piece of rectangular paper (A4 for example) is horizontal. This is the same as the display on a computer or TV. Portrait orientation is when the long edge of a piece of rectangular paper is vertical. This is the orientation normally used in printing text.
In WORD (for mac) 2008 follow these steps:Click FILEGo down to PAGE SETUPThen under ORIENTATION, click the button with the person on their side (This is the landscap button)If you are using MS Word 2003 then under 'file' menu select 'page setup' option and in 'margin' tab, you will find 'landscape or portrait'. Choose your option by clicking on it.PS: In Microsoft works word processor, you follow the same directions up until the margin tab, you have to click Source, Size & Orientation and you will still find landscape or portrait.
Portrait. If speaking in terms of a normal piece of paper (8.5"x11"), the term portrait is used when held vertically, with the 8.5" width pointing towards the ceiling and floor. Landscape is that same paper turned sideways, with the 11" sides pointing towards ceiling and floor.
"Triple Jeopardy" is a concept used in law to describe a situation where a defendant is tried for the same crime three times. It does not refer to a specific book or document with a set number of pages.
