oxygen sensors will make your car run rough. A faulty sensor will make your car smell like a gas station at the tail pipe but there could be a whole lot of other reasons why your car is running like a pig, buy the time you find out what the problem was you could have a $200 fuel bill, that would have paid for the diagnosis, at the least.you need to take to a service mechanic to rectify the problem. the list just goes on otherwise. or you could buy a workshop manual and try your luck there, thats what i did and 25 years later i still get stumped, and so do mechaniacs, if they are good ones though they have other mech's helping them, they stay around for this reason so if you know of a mechanic that has been in the same garage for at least 10 years you know he is good one, you should go to him/her. stop wasting your money guessing, and serching for answars from dummies on the net, they have no idea and are probs trying to sell you the very parts they claim you car needs, dont be fooled.
Any gasoline powered vehicle needs 3 things to run 1. Spark at the right time 2. fuel 3. Air If any one of these three things are missing or are not going to the cylinder at the right time. The engine will not run. Modern cars have computers that control spark timing and fuel injection to the engine. The modern computer controlled vehicle has many sensors that tell the computer when to trigger spark and the fuel injectors. If any one of these sensors go out the vehicle will not run or will run poorly and possibly stall.
Look to the ECU/sensors or airflow. Check the O2 sensors, air filter, etc.
Oxygen sensors on a 1989 Toyota SR5 and located near the catalytic converter. The sensors read the emissions from the vehicle so the ECU knows ho much fuel to run in the engine.
No, it is not recommended to run tubes in tubeless tires for your vehicle as it can cause safety issues and affect the performance of the tires.
Just about all of the engine sensors could cause it to not run.
Yes, it wont cause your vehicle to not run.
yes it will make bring unmetered oxygen in and the o2 sensors will pick it up and it will run lean (lean=hot) (rich=cool)
there is no cable,it is run from vehicle speed sensors through the bcm to the cluster assembly.you most likely have cluster problems.
A bad crankshaft sensor will cause a vehicle not to start. The sensor sends a pulse to the system so that the spark plugs fire at the precise moment. If the sensor is intermittent then sometimes the vehicle wont start for no apparent reason, or may turn off while driving. Not sure if the question is about camshaft sensors or crankshaft sensors. Some vehicles will run with the camshaft sensor faulty or unplugged. But it would illuminate the "Check Engine" light.
If you have a worn timing chain that hasnt been changed before, that can cause the timing to jump and cause your car to run very rough or not run at all
yes it can. also check knock sensor and the wire going to it
It will run, but not correctly. It will run, but not correctly.
