your colt was probably made for lighter loads then 38 special. try a lighter re-load cartridge like 2.0 grains bulls eye powder

No. While there ARE firearms made to fire both the .45 Colt and the .410 shotshell, they were made for that purpose. Never attempt to fire ammo that a firearm was not made to fire.
If the Anaconda is a .44 Magnum, yes, you can shoot .44 Special in it all day. Also .44 S&W American and .44 Russian if you are of a mind.
