Yes they can but only UNTIL you put it in writing to stop the harassing collection calls. This is all done by using the federal law, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act with a DO NOT CALL letter. (Request in writing to stop calling, send it Certified Mail, RRR. It is your right as a consumer to not have these collection calls to your: place of business, home or cellular phone. (Some original creditors are now stating that they do not have to abide by this law, but even still, there are state laws that govern harassment calls. So check your state's guidelines on this).
Look up this law (it is short and easy reading), get educated on your rights and stop the harassing collection calls.
To take it a little further.... if you are getting these calls, then it may mean that you owe some old debts. There is a "timeline" of when the creditor will proceed to collect or send this debt to an outside collection agency/attorney. In most cases, credit card companies such as B of A here, will try to collect for approximately 6 months, then if they can't collect from you, then they will send it to an outside collection agency. Then more phone calls will come in and more scary letters! Send them a DVL (Debt Validation Letter) to: stop them from calling; stop them from putting the negative mark on your credit reports again (even if the original creditor already has one negative mark); and also have them validate the debt - if they cannot do this, they certainly cannot collect. This process will also buy you more time to negotiate or settle out your debt for approximately 20% to 30% of your overall debt. Yes! You CAN settle out credit card debt by law (totally legal) and save 70% to 80%.

I work for a hospital with staffing of over 12,000 in Western Massachusetts. If you manage staff of >3 people you could be an Office Supervisor with salary. If you coordinate work for people above you, a Coordinator is higher pay than Administrative Assistant, or Secretary and all 3 are hourly. If you work for a VP, you could be an executive assistant. Hope this helps!

Which Roosevelt? There are two of note.
I have been reading about credit relief companies who are able to reduce your credit debt from 50 to 60 percent off of debt owed, if this is true can I do this myself and who do I contact? Is a supervisor in the billing department of my credit card authorized to cut my credit? Or am I doomed to go to a credit relief company and pay an exorbitant price? How do I communicate with these people?
None more companies have laid off people since Trump has taken office

I seriously doubt that is happening. The system has glitches which credit the wrong people for answers. Sometimes it is just accidental. Having been a supervisor, I can tell you how easy it is to forget to check the "minor edit" box, and by the time you realize you forgot, it is a split second of pushing Save.

Bank Giro Credit - is not a physical bank ! It is a system for paying people money - who don't necessarily have a bank account. Funds paid by Bank Giro Credit - are 'cashed' at a post office.
There is multiple things they could do. The main one would be to go to the website of the credit card they would like. They could also ask people that they know and trust.
It is the Supervisor's job to keep the employees in the office under control and if it gets out of hand then it should go to Management. A good Supervisor will realize that if employees are working hard there may be some tension and a little off-handed face-face verbal comments are acceptable to a point, but if it is a problem between two people with different personalities who are handling things inappropriately then it is up to the Supervisor or Management to bring both into the office and read them the riot act. Employees are generally expected to put their differences aside and do the work they are paid for and Management does not care about anything else. Often monthly meetings with staff can be a good thing and stop chaos before it begins and a good Supervisor should let the staff know in no uncertain terms what is expected as office conduct and if anyone disagrees they will be looking for a new job.
