Can Christians gamble, yes. Should the gamble, no. Christians are just as susceptible to gambling as anyone else, however a Christian should know that it is far from biblical. There are many places that either deal directly with gambling or through interpretation. An example of direct relation to gambling is in proverbs. It directly calls a gambling man a fool. An indirect example is the fact that we are stewards of what we have in life, not owners. Therefor just as you would not gamble your best friends money against their will, you would not use God's given resources to gamble. In conclusion Christians may not gamble.
My thoughts: For the Christian, I believe that gambling is a waste of money. We should be good stewarts of what God has given us. Gambling for the most part will gain you nothing.
By being a God-fearing person and a good stewart, God will reward you greatly, perhaps not financally, but in ways that you have never though of before.
My bottom line is that by throwing something way that God has given me to use on something good is a sin. You will someday give an account to God for what you have done.
