They can but many intelligent people seeking escape in fantasy have better taste. It's for kids who for the most part are undecided on religion anyway until they are old enough to understand and make an informed decision.

∙ 8y agoI would advise against it. As a matter of fact, I would advise against television viewing at all for a Christian family. There is little worthwhile on television for a Christian, and at the best, it would be a waste of time better spent elsewhere. At the worse, this is a "cop drama" involving Fairy Tales, in other words, what exactly about indulging this is going to bring you closer to God.
One thing that you absolutely need to keep in mind is that we are on this earth, in this earthly life for one reason and one reason only to tell God where we wish to spend eternity. If you happen to live for 100 years, THAT is an incredibly short time in which to overcome original sin, become holy, and bring others to Christ.
Our Blessed Lord told us absolutely nothing about this kind of thing, He warned us that the way is narrow and rough and few find it (to life) but the way is broad and easy to death and MOST PEOPLE are on it. Guess which side you should put 99% of television?
