I think what you are asking is, does Dilaudid make an opiate test positive. Dilaudid, or hydrocodone, is an opiate. But it does not show positive on a standard opioid screen, where they test for morphine, and morphine metabolites. Heroin and codeine show positive because they break down into morphine in the body. Urine samples containing low to moderate concentrations of hydromorphone, hydrocodone, oxymorphone, and oxycodone will likely go undetected when tested by conventional immunoassays, which are the secondary tests performed when the initial pass shows positive. But you shouldn't have to worry about that, anyway, if you're only taking Dilaudid, and they do not have reason to suspect you.

∙ 14y agoIt can. The problem for you with Dilaudid: it is an opiod, so if they test the split sample they're going to confirm opiates. If you've got a prescription for it, you should be okay.
