Is Gaara the same after ressurected?
Pretty much; the only difference is that he no longer has the Shukaku. He can probably sleep now that the Shukaku is gone, but as far as i know that hasn't been specified.
Does Gaara still have shukaku?
Yes and No at the same time. Gaara has the Shukaku when he is a little boy. But when we get to the Shippuden episodes he soon loses his Shukaku and is brought back to life by Grandma Chiyo. Even though he doesn't have his Shukaku he is still able to be Kazekage and control sand. (i answered this question because i know almost everything about Gaara. I'm not obsessed but i love him ALOT!) ^ ^ ^to add a little bit more for those of you who are wondering. Shukaku did NOT give Gaara the power to control sand. That is a common misconception. Shukaku gave Gaara "ultimate protection". Basically Shukaku amplified Gaara's sand by controlling it himself, thus allowing the sand to protect Gaara even when Gaara did not wish it. Gaara's ninjutsu though is the ability to control sand. Now that Shukaku is gone though, Gaara has to use ninja signs in order to control his jutsu, instead of relying on Shukaku to kick butt for him xD Non-the-less Gaara is still my second favourite character. The only person i like more that Gaara is Hidan xD ^ ^ ^ haha hidan. he's kinda lame. he's so emo. XD gaara's favorite. then kakashi. so yeah gaara still has his sand powers but now he can 'feel pain'. because before the shukaku wouldn't let him get hurt.
Will the marks around Gaara's eyes ever go away?
well.......not neccesarily,,........ even if he can sleep now tat shukaku is gone.......those marks still remain........and its more a part of his face.........but is mostly depends on masashi kishimoto......
Why does Gaara not have the beast anymore?
The Akatsuki removed Shukaku (quite forcibly and painfully) as they had with three other jinchuriki up to that point. This process killed Gaara :'( but he was later resurrected by Chiyo-baasama. :D When he was resurrected, he didn't get Shukaku back, so now he's free of it! Does Gaara really die or does he live?
Yes, Gaara does die in Naruto Shippuden; though Gaara was brought back to life by Granny Chio giving her life to Gaara. She runs out of chakra, but Naruto gives some to her to complete the jutsu to bring Gaara back.And then somewhere in Naruto Shippuden Granny Chio dies.

If it weren't for Sasuke stopping Naruto nothing would happen; Naruto was beyond exaustion he doesn't have energy to damage anything aside an ant. During the Sasuke Retrieval, Gaara was stronger, much stronger. (Albeit I don't include Naruto's 1-Tailed Form, it's cheating and from Kyuubi NOT Naruto). Even Naruto in his rampage mode wouldn't do anything to him. Kimimaro could've destroyed Naruto while he was sick and in normal form, while Gaara fended him even in his 2nd Stage. It is unknown. Sabaku no Gaara is his only name we know of. His surname isn't revealed. I don't think Gaara has another name besides Sabaku No Gaara but that's just my opinion. Yes, Gaara has no last name. Neither does Kankuro or Temari, seeing as they are brothers and sister. I do not believe TenTen has a last name either. Gaara only goes by Sabaku no Gaara, meaning Gaara of the Desert or Gaara of the Sand. Many people (now) call him Gaara-sama when he is Kazekage.

god i hate that couple,its soooo disturbing,ok first of all,HE TRIED TO KILL HER!!!!and some people think that when he pinned her against the tree,took a glare at her,that he likes her...WTF?!he was half shukaku,if he liked her,he would have never tried to kill her,and he didnt like anyone in part one of the series.
Who revived Gaara?
Deidera of the Akatsuki killed him when he extracted the Shukaku demon from him, though Chiyo (the Sand kunoichi who sealed the demon in him originally) sacrifices her life by trading her life for his. He lives on and protects the leaf ninja as well as his brother, Kankuro, and sister, Temari. He does retain his ability to manipulate sand, though his powers are severely diminished, but they will return as true strength is found by protecting loved ones and family.
