Medical knowledge nowadays tends to be able to identify almost all causes of death - and none are attributed to God.

Or another possibility might be synchronicity such as crossing paths with the wrong people. Someone might already be violent, and a "cursed" individual could follow their routine or feel a strong urge to vary their course, and come into contact with the violent person. God might not often work directly, but through things that are already in motion.
