You can't eat for so many hours before.
That is true if you are going to be sedated for the procedure. You must have nothing in your stomach for several hours (including water) whenever you will administered a general anesthetic. The reason for this is that anesthetics sometimes cause the patient to vomit. If you are sedated, your natural cough reflect is also sedated, and you run the very real risk of aspirating (inhaling) whatever is in your stomach. This can result in a severe lung infection, even pneumonia. It is a life threatening complication that is easily avoided by not having anything in your stomach at the time of the surgery.
On the other hand, if the surgeon is only going to use a local anesthetic (lidocaine, etal) the N.P.O. (nothing by mouth) rule does not apply.
Yes. Just clean your mouth after you have eaten. Prior to any dental treatment, it is important to eat something before. The reason is that local anesthetics can cause vasovagal syncope. This is reduced if the patient has had a meal before the treatment.
no
Answer: If you intend to be sedated during the procedure, it is absolutely imperative that you have nothing in your stomach for at least 12 hours prior to the surgery. If you were to vomit while under sedation, you may aspirate stomach contents into your lungs, and that can be a life-threatening situation.
If you did eat or drink anything less than 12 hours prior to the surgery, make sure and let the surgeon know.
Yep - they want a clean mouth to work with!
It is best to not eat before dental surgery. Then this way you won't have things stuck i your teeth before the surgery.
The 2nd day after your wisdom tooth extraction, you are restricted to soft foods such as jello.
I had my wisdom teath removed to help with the pain in my ears .(not that it helped) the aria around my mouth was a little swolen and my mouth felt dead but the next day it was better. All you have to do is eat alot of ice cream!! :-)
yes
Eat hard foods like apples
You can eat prior to having a tooth extracted as long as you are only having a local anesthetic. Usually patients will opt for I.V. sedation for all four wisdom teeth.
The apple sauce and creamed spinach are some of the foods to eat after removing a tooth.
yes i believe
Provided it does not stay on the area where the tooth was and it is small and soft enough for you to chew, yes.
Its okay to eat, but its best to not eat. and if you eat, make sure you clean your teeth
I believe wisdom was around before long before humanity, and probably started with rodents. Rats will not eat a poisonous food twice, for instance.

People dont get their tooth before, 45, so they should avoid hard stuff.
