You can walk your horse on the pavement, it will not hurt it. Even if your horse does not wear shoes they can be safely walked on pavement. Just be careful that the horse does not slip if the pavement is wet or slippery and its not a good idea to trot or canter on pavement for very long of a distance.
Hi, I live in England and have a shetland pony and to be honest with you there is no reason why shetland ponies couldn't live in New Zealand

yes
Yes of course Shetland ponies drink water! Most animals can't live without it.
The Shetland pony is originally from the Shetland Islands near Great Britain but now you can find them almost anywhere in the world. They are very popular for children's mounts.
Live in herds and survive on rocky hills.
13-15 years
If Shetland islands, Scotland, around 22,000.
On the pavement, there is lots of life, hiding beneath. In the cracks, there are grasses and insects live, such as ants and beetles. Ants may have a whole colony beneath the pavement. Also, if it isn't blocked, animals like worms can burrow under the pavement.
Many ponies are long-lived, it is not unusual for a Shetland pony to live more than 30 years. Conversely, their small size also predisposes some individuals to a greater probability of heart problems than in larger animals, on occasion leading to early death.
The population of Shetland was 21,988 in 2001.The population was last checked in 2001.The population is now around 23,000
