Unfortunately, you cannot text an iPod without a message being sent to you from the iPod. However, you can download a free text app, send a message to a phone, and the phone can press 'reply' and should be able to text back on the iPod Touch.
If the app used to send the text is available on both platforms, then yes.
No it won't since the ipod touch can't send or receive any text messages. If you mean the iphone then yes
Text now or text+
mms (In the text message app) or plug it into your computer - in the folder on the apple iphone camera
It would not cost the iPod user to send them. If the cell phone user pays per text message then they would be charged. If they have unlimited texting or whatever, there would be no cost. Have fun!
Buy an Ipod touch, as long as you have internet connection you just have to download an app for free. Or you could send a text message to people on Yahoo Messenger
Sending a text message to an email address can be done through iMessage on an Apple iPhone using iOS. If you don't have an iPhone then this can be done through the TextConnect website.
send a blank message
Well, depends which message you refer to. I got an iPod touch te other day, and I discovered you can check your email. And to text, a good quality and free application is called text plus, which you can find in the app store.

Select a number from your contact list, or type in a number on the keypad. Select the menu option to send a text message. Type the message. Press the button to send the message.
