Questions like this should ONLY be directed to qualified medical professionals with verifiable credentials. If you're taking amoxicillin before an appointment as a pre-med, you should consult with the physician in question to know how early you could take it before the appointment. If you're taking amoxicillin on a scheduled dose (e.i. every 8 hours), it's best to stick to that schedule as closely as possible. If you don't feel that it would be possible, you can consult with your prescriber or pharmacist to see if taking the medication differently would impact the infection they're trying to treat.
Amoxicillin is usually given three times a day. It is to be taken 8 hourly. You can take it 1-2 hours earlier. You can safely take it 6 hourly also. But the physician is the final authority to decide in given case.
Yes. Generally, taking a medication dose within an hour is acceptable. There are very few exceptions.
Not sure, but I just did. I googled this and saw your question. Accidentally took it early and wanted to know what would go wrong... I'll let you know if I am still alive in the morning.
You should take all medication as prescribed by your doctor. However, an hour earlier or later isn't going to be significant.
Amoxicillin is used to treat mild to moderate skin and skin structure infections. It can be given 250mg q 8 hours or 500mg q 12 hours. For severe skin infections, it can be given 875mg q 12 hours or 500mg q 8 hours. One gram is not normally taken all at once but perhaps you didn't mean that. You have not stated a dosing schedule.
It's the same one that was to the West approximately 12 hours earlier.
that happened to me... the pharmacist told me that if it has been unrefrigerated for more than 12 hours, it has lost effectiveness and a new prescription is needed. Unrefrigerated for less than 12 hours he said would still be OK.
It take 12 to 14 hours.
