can aerius kids be taken with children tylenol
The only real difference is the salt from which the medicine is derived. Betahistine dihydrochloride comes from a dihydrochloride salt, and mesilate comes from a mesilate salt.
It is never a good idea to take more than the recommended dose of any medication, so Aerius falls into that. Although no dramatic side effects have been noted for taking more than one dose of Aerius, you still have to be careful. If you did it once by accident or thinking it would work better, you should be fine. Just don't make a habit of it. If one dose doesn't work, talk to your doctor about taking a higher dose or trying a different medication. Just be careful. :)

Benadryl and Aerius are both antihistamines. Therefore, they should not be taken together as there is a risk of overdosing. Also, as antihistamines can make one feel drowsy, this side effect will be multiplied, putting the user in danger.
Betahistine actually targets the inner ear, but since it is used as an inhalant, the sinus cavities are linked to the middle ear by the Eustacian tubes which deliver the histamine (Betahistine) into the middle ear where it dilates the blood vessels within the middle ear which can relieve pressure from excess fluid and act on the smooth muscle. This is in turn can alleviate the symptoms of Ménière's disease, which involves the inner ear and is experienced as dizzyness (vertigo).
Latin aerius, from Greek aerios, from aērTherefore it means as sky, or above view of the object, place, or person.
