If you are allergic to Demerol (meperidine), it doesn't necessarily mean you will be allergic to hydrocodone, as they are different medications. However, both drugs are opioids, so it's important to consult your healthcare provider before taking hydrocodone. They can help assess your allergy history and determine if hydrocodone is safe for you. Always follow medical advice when it comes to medication Allergies.
if your allergic to vicoden can you take percocet?
c2-a cascade diclofenac/baclofen/cycloben/lc help with a bruised rib?
No, because Vicodin contains hydrocodone plus acetaminophen.
If patient is truly allergic to either Demerol or Fentanyl (i.e. anaphylaxis or anaphylactic shock), then give morphine. Both drugs mentioned above are synthetics, which are completely different family from morphine, which is an alkaloid. Hope this helps.
Nope. vicodin contains hydrocodone wich is an extract of codeine
hydrocodone aka. sumtin like vicodin is more of a painkiller then anything and makes u calm. Demerol is like morphine. its a muscle relaxer/anti depressant and a pain killer.vicodin is the ultimate for pain killing but if u wanna feel real good demerol is my choice
Yes, doctors and healthcare professionals often times prescribe Oxycodone (Percocet) to patients who are allergic to Codeine/Hydrocodone.
Yes, Hydrocodone and Demerol are both opiates and will show up as "Opiate" on a drug screen.
Probably not. Check with your doctor.
I would say it depends on the type of dental pain (pre-surgical,post-surgical,or just bad infections or abcesses). Demerol (meperidine) is a way stronger pain killer than hydrocodone( vicodin, lortab, norco, vicoprofen). People having serious dental surgeries or have a tolerence to opiods might need the stronger demerol. Less severe dental pain can most likely be controlled by hydrocodone. Also hydrocodone always has either acetaminophen,or ibuprofen in it . While meperidine (demerol) has only that drug in it. The acetaminophen or ibuprofen in hydrocodone also has an anti swelling property to it which can help a lot. I've personally never heard of demerol prescribed for dental pain. Usually if something stronger than hydrocodone is needed percocet (oxycodone) is given.
it can be snorted, smoked, or shot up. You can even shoot up Vicodin and Hydrocodone.
Can you take lortab and demerol together?
