The Toyota hybrids actually use 2 different batteries:
- an ordinary 12V car battery
- a ~200V hybrid system battery
The 12V battery could be used in another car if it has the same amperage ratings (or greater) of the battery the normal car requires. Check the ratings first.
The hybrid system battery cannot be used except in the car it was specifically designed for.
