Well, a 13 year old can do yard work for people in the neighbor hood. but when you turn 14 you can work at Publix Supermarket doing bagging or cashier, or you can also work at the restaurant kissin cuzzins in Florida.
summer job are at camp and also publix and stuff
The minimum age in most states is 14 for a school aged child. This is heavily regulated and must be approved by the school, the parent, and the company hiring. Publix is dedicated to upholding the law, giving parents peace of mind that their children who work for them are safe and well supervised. Inquire at your local Publix about the regulations in your area.
In Florida, employers do not usually hire kids under 15 because of the extra paperwork. Publix may hire 14 year old baggers but they have to have certain hours because of school. Babysitting or Lawn work may be the best way to get income...
13
Florida has not legislated a legal age. Usually a 12 or 13 year old can control one child for a few hours.
i believe that if kids work at 13 they will become more responsible.
There are no places. Child employment laws protect children from abuse by employers. You could mow lawns, feed animals when neighbors are away, walk dogs, help an elderly neighbor weekly to put the disposal cans out for the trucks or do errands for them. You would be surprised how many older people would appreciate the help and give you a few dollars.
Question is...would I want you assisting a Doctor at age 13....and that answer is NO my friend.
Maybe 15 or 16 to drive a golf cart in Florida.
