There have been 6 orbiters. Enterprise was first. Never flew in space. Was built for Approach and Landing tests (ALT). Then came Columbia, Challenger, Atlantis, Discovery. Endeavour is the baby of the fleet and was built to replace Challenger. Columbia and Challenger were destroyed in accidents. Enterprise is in a museum.
