No because Newfoundland is not hot enough for any tropical storm, including tsunamis. Newfoundland is in Canada. And Canada is a non tropical country because it is in the northern hemisphere . So it is extremely rare and very unlikely that Canada will ever have a tropical storm like hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis. And no tsunami will be ever big enough to sink the whole island of Newfoundland.
Boston has not experienced a significant tsunami in recent history. The last notable tsunami event in the broader region occurred on July 4, 1929, when a tsunami generated by an underwater landslide off the coast of Newfoundland affected parts of the northeastern U.S., but Boston was not severely impacted. Tsunamis are relatively rare in the Atlantic Ocean compared to the Pacific.
On 18 November 1929 a tsunami struck Newfoundland's Burin Peninsula and caused considerable loss of life and property. Giant waves hit the coast at 40 km/hr, flooding dozens of communities and washing entire homes out to sea. The disaster killed 28 people and left hundreds more homeless or destitute. It was the most destructive earthquake-related event in Newfoundland and Labrador's history.
The Newfoundland government has an excellent page devoted to this. There are a handful of photos as well as facts and figures about this disaster:http://www.heritage.nf.ca/law/tsunami29.htmlA tsunami struck the east coast of Canada on 18 November 1929.
