Puffer fish are very aggressive fish and will tear the poor goldfish to pieces.
no
Nunners here, I was wondering which puffer fish you meant because some puffer fish release poison when they inflate, thus killing themselves and other fish in the tank. Or if you get the one that has shark spikes it could wound your goldfish causing it a cut, he could die because of an infection. Also i think puffer fish are tropical fish?
mollies, tetra's, plecko's mollies, tetra's, plecko's
They might eat the fry, but most fish will eat the fry. My dwarf puffer lives with a school of tetras and has never caused them any problems. Goldfish get big by comparison and are fiercely competitive for food. It is much more likely that the puffer is in danger of starvation by domination of the goldfish.
Yes they can, I have a guppy (amongst other fish) with 4 goldfish together and they are very happily living together :)
Yes
It is important to remember to put things in a goldfish tank, even goldfish get bored. Some of my suggestions for tank decor are artificial plants and a "hidey hole" for your goldfish.
You should not have goldfish and platies in the same tank ever.
No, shrimp and goldfish should not be kept together in the same tank as goldfish may eat the shrimp.
A 5-gallon tank is not recommended for keeping a goldfish. Goldfish require a larger tank size to thrive, ideally 20 gallons or more for a single goldfish. A larger tank provides more space for the goldfish to swim and grow, as well as better water quality.
The size of a goldfish tank can affect the growth of the goldfish. A larger tank provides more space for the goldfish to swim and grow, leading to healthier and potentially larger fish. In contrast, a smaller tank can restrict the fish's movement and growth, potentially stunting their development.
depends, can a ten gallon tank live in a goldfish
