It is possible, anything that could affect the emissions of the vehicle can turn the check engine light on.
Many things could cause your service engine soon light to come on. Every time you start the engine, the computer does a self-diagnostic test. If it finds any faults, it will illuminate the light. I would recomend you find an OBD ( On Board Diagnostic) tester and read the code. Autozone will perform this service for free. They will read the code and tell you what is causing your light to come on.
If not installed properly check engine light will illuminate
Yes, and the check engine light should illuminate.
Either have the problem that is causing the light to illuminate fixed or disconnect and reconnect your battery.
No, but it could cause the check engine light to illuminate.
Yes it could but, it should also illuminate the check engine light.
it should be a yellow light in the instrument cluster, it should illuminate when the engine is first started, along with other light, while the vehicle is performing a self test,
A bulb would cause it to illuminate!!
Not likely. A bad O2 sensor would illuminate the check engine light and the engine performance would suffer.
Yes. Your Check Engine light or Service Engine Soon light.
Get a code reader from Autozone or a friend and plug it into the OBDII connection to read what code caused the check engine light to illuminate. A flashing check engine light indicates to NOT drive any further.
It means 'operate the light-switch so as to cause the light to illuminate'.
