Well first off let me say that I am not a DOCTOR but I am A Certified Medical Assistant who knows somewhat about this as I was diagnosed with RMSF in 2007. Since this time I have not felt at all myself. Initially after dx and treatment and a 2 week hospital stay I would have Cycles as I like to call them. These were periods where I would start to feel Very Tired and lethargic. NO Energy at all. Now not just lack of ENERGY but I am speaking of EXTREME fatigue. I would feel like this for about 6 weeks or so. This went on for about 3-4 years. Now, I do not have these symptoms as often but I still do not feel 100 percent healthy. SO to answer your question, YES I do believe the symptoms can come back. I did see an internal medicine Doctor and ask him this question and he told me no but he could not explain my symptoms...:)
