Everybody's body reacts different to everything. The reactions that take place may stimulate different receptors and release a slightly altered chemical that stimulates receptors that are checked in certain types of drugs test. I know from first hand experience that Omeprazole(prilosec) can test positive for thc. But also be aware that a false positive can be from kidney/gallbladder malfunctions to.

∙ 11y agoYes it sure can! Yesterday I had to do a urine drug screen for social services and I haven't smoked marijuana since I was in high school and I'm 31! The social worker showed me a faint line came up for thc. I was shocked. Even though she considered my uds negative she just pointed out to me that she could have marked it as positive. I was so angry and confused that I came home and went online and researched what could cause false positives for thc. Zantac was among a few other meds that can cause it. The night before my uds I had taken one if my husbands Zantac for heartburn. I think that it is ridiculous bc how many times has this happened to other ppl and have lost their child due to a false positive? I'm lucky I have a social worker who knew I was clean. I had never had a dirty uds prior to that one.

∙ 11y agoI can attest to the fact , which ever testing protocol the Veterans Administrations (my area) uses clearly indicates that Omeprozole can lead to false positives for THC and therefore the test should not be used for any other purpose but medical. If use for legal etc... confirmation must be ordered!
