Yes under-age children can go to jail. It is called Juvenile Jail or Youth Detention Center. Usually kids are kept in there at a certain time daily. For example: You might be sent to the Youth Detention Center every weekend for 5 months. Depending on what you had commited. Sometimes parents can go to jail or they are charged with fines. She might end up in a young offender's institution though , depending on what she did. Its like a prison , but for young people. Again however if this was her first arrest , she'll have to break some rules she's been set by her officer to go to a YOI. Note: this applies to criminal damage. Not things like assault and murder.
