According to the information I found at www.lpntraining.org, in Texas and California an LPN is known as a licensed vocational nurse. Most LPN programs take about a year to complete, after which you can take a national licensing exam, and get a license in your state. Actually doing some research after asking this. It appears that California does not require a college degree. And with that if you stay a lawyer for 5-7 years most other states will allow you to take the bar exam. Also with a California bar exam you can practice in any State on the Federal Level. California, Vermont, Virginia and Washington state do not require a law degree.
