No you should not because if you just walk out willy nilly your parents will be worried sick. If you are at that age when you really want to move out give your parents the consent first, they should be able to understand as they were your age once.

Well i looked up the law in kansas to get married and it says if you under 18 you have to have permission or a written consent by your parents. Sorry if this didnt help any but I also think in the US that he could get charged.
