It isn't designed to do that. Running E85 could damage the engine.
I was looking at the 1999 Ford Taurus Owner Guide and it shows : Both the 3.0 liter DOHC , Duratec engine and the 3.0 liter , Vulcan engine are designed to use ( " regular " unleaded gasoline , 87 octane ) * so , the answer would be ( no )
2002 Ford Taurus
the engine in a 84 ford laser is not ethanol compatible & will run like a sack of crap if you use fuel that contains any ethanol
yes 50% , no problem
They will fit, but are a little narrow. I have a Taurus and run it on 215/65/15 tires.
no
If you have the flex fuel version of the 3.0 litre " Vulcan " V6 engine , you can use E85 ethanol or " regular " unleaded gasoline , 87 octane , or any combination of the 2 fuels To identify if your engine is a flex fuel version ( there will be a sticker inside the fuel filler door and also the 8th " character " of the VIN will be a " K " )
No, the ethanol will "eat" the rubber in the fuel lines, pump, and seals.
It's designed to run on " regular " unleaded gas - 87 octane . The gasoline can have a maximum of 10 % ethanol ( If you mean E 85 - NO ! )
yes, you do not need high octane for it run correctly yes, you do not need high octane for it run correctly
yes the first model t did run on gas but Henry Ford also built it to run on alcohol(Ethanol)
Ah, the carburetor, a wonderful part of a car's engine. However, on a Ford Taurus, you won't find a carburetor because newer cars like the Taurus use fuel injection systems instead. This system helps the engine run smoothly and efficiently, just like painting a happy little tree on a canvas.
