e rather than the original ones.
I have done this exact swap. It all fits but the 95 motor has no hole for the 97`s cam sensor and some of the sensors and ignition module on the rear of the engine need to be moved around and their wiring changed slightly and lengthened a bit. According to All-Data, the cam sensor in this year and car is "only used for missfire detection and is not part of the ignition system" My car runs fine but the service engine soon light is always on, with a code po340 cuz of not having a cam sensor anymore. Nothing else was affected. You also have to use the 97 ignition module and injector wiring harness, but those are easy ! Good luck !
The side with the coil spring showing goes into the engine.

No...I belive they came with a 3.1 V-6. There will be a difference in the wire harness, motor mounts, computer software, transmission size, axle difference and many more bad things. The only thing that is the same is the name of the car.
I have a 1997 cavalier. If it is the same and I think they are. The best thing to do is go to Wal-mart and get the installation kit. Inside the kit are directions on how to get the old stereo out. Because you have to take the dash off to get to some of the screws. It sounds rough but really it is easy.
There are several things that can cause your 1995 Chevy Cavalier transmission not to go into drive or reverse. The most common cause is a lack of transmission fluid. A broken shifting fork will also cause the problem.
go to your local machanic
You have to drill out the rivets. a replacement motor will come with bolts and nuts to go back together
Get the Haynes/Chiltons manual. It should be there. Or go to the automotiveforums.com website.
Under the center of the dash, behind the radio and ashtray. You have to go through the bottom.
A 1997 Crown Vic motor will fit a 1993 Crown Vic, both cars came with the exact same engine from the factory.
