September 10 2012 I went in to buy a new 2013 Malibu and was told that originally GM said in the owners manual that it could be towed and then discovered that it could not be towed and had to add an insert into the owners manual stating that it could not be towed. A week later I discovered that it appears that there are two transmissions available and now I wonder if one of them is towable.
