Can a ATI 3d rage Lt pro AGP 8mb video card will work in windows 7?

I tried this and it didn't work out. The gui will not load with only 8mb of graphics memory. Tested on an MSI K9A2 platinum board with a rage pro 8MB PCI card. Could not load installation DVD, nor could I boot a pre-made installation.

I personally have tested it on Windows Vista and Windows 7 Home Premium and have found that it works perfectly, just turn on compatibility mode.
