Although divorce is not strictly forbidden in Christianity, and Mosaic Law allowed for divorce in cases of infidelity, Christ suggests a different model--one of fidelity, with forgiveness:

So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate."

Which does not forbid divorce, but demands that we understand marriage in a spiritual, and not just a legal perspective; and requires that we understand that 'hardness of heart' plays a role.

If the couple who want a divorce are both Christian then Christianity should influence their marriage greatly and they should seek Christian council. And I should add that if only one is a Christian council is still needed.

No she cannot get a scriptural divorce after she has already taken back her husband. They are "one flesh" again so if she gets a legal divorce and marries someone else, she commits adultery. If she wanted a scriptural divorce, she could've divorced him after he committed adultery and not "forgiven" him and taken him back.
